About Me
Nothing on this website or in this course is financial advice—it’s a shared journey of learning and empowerment. My relationship with money has always been complex. Growing up in a household reliant on government welfare, I viewed money as something unattainable and distrusted. We were warned never to accumulate debt, and I carried that lesson into adulthood, living paycheck-to-paycheck while traveling the world on a budget.
Traditional banks always felt inefficient and untrustworthy to me—charging fees for holding, transferring, or withdrawing my money. The idea of Bitcoin, introduced to me in 2012, immediately resonated. A decentralized currency without gatekeepers? It felt revolutionary. But with no understanding of the financial world and no one to guide me, I didn’t pursue it further.
Everything changed in 2017 when I was living in New Zealand and met a Japanese friend who was deeply involved in crypto. He not only explained Bitcoin and altcoins but also helped me take the first, and hardest, step: setting up my Binance and BitMEX accounts and making my first purchase. This support was invaluable. Without him walking me through the process, I doubt I would have had the courage to dive in. Crypto was still niche at the time and felt intimidating—like stepping into an unregulated, revolutionary financial system where you weren’t sure if you were about to be scammed.
That initial guidance got me started, but I quickly learned the hard way that crypto required patience and discipline. My excitement led me to lose my first Bitcoin in a high-leverage trade within minutes. Though exhausting, those early experiences taught me valuable lessons, and I continued following the space, even as I took a step back from active trading.
In 2021, I found myself in a financial crisis. My partner and I had started a business that left us in significant debt. Traditional institutions offered no solutions, and the stress became unbearable. That’s when I rediscovered crypto. I didn’t just explore trading—I also started investing in cryptocurrencies to hold long-term. By researching projects I believed in and allocating funds to promising assets, I watched my investments grow substantially. In some cases, the value of my holdings tripled, proving to me that patience and belief in the technology could pay off in ways I’d never imagined.
At the same time, with the help of another friend, I began trading on the Solana network. My friend showed me how to set up the necessary software and wallets, and once again, having someone guide me through those initial steps made all the difference.
Little by little, I gained confidence in managing my assets and saw real progress in paying off my debt. The fear of setting things up on my own began to fade as I understood the technology better. I appreciated that crypto wasn’t just another financial instrument—it was a completely revolutionary system. Transactions were fast, transparent, and low-cost. Ownership felt real—there were no middlemen or restrictions, just me and my assets.
What I gained wasn’t just financial relief—it was a deep appreciation for the technology and its potential to empower individuals. This journey not only changed my financial trajectory but also solidified my belief that crypto is the future. But what truly stood out to me was how important guidance and support were in my journey. Without my friends’ help, I likely wouldn’t have made it through the initial learning curve.
